Olympic Gold Medallist Gergely Kiss Visits Water Polo Under 14 Cup

Young Water Polo players in Ireland were delighted this month when 3 time Olympic Gold Medallist and World Champion Gergely Kiss from Hungary visited them at the Irish Water Polo Association Under 14 Cup in Galway.  The Hungarian Idol brought along his medals and got into the pool to give the players and spectators some tips. Minister Ring Announces Irish Sports Council Funding Plans for 2013

An investment package of €33 million for Irish sport in 2013 by the Irish Sports Council has been announced today by Minister of State for Tourism & Sport Michael Ring. This money includes €19.3 million for National Governing Bodies of sport, €5.1 million for Local Sports Partnerships and €8.6 million for high performance sport. Swim Ireland endorse the Cork Performance Squad based in Brookfield Leisure Centre in Cork City

Deaf Village Ireland Launches Premises

Deaf Village Ireland (DVI), an all-inclusive state-of-the-art community facility officially opened its doors on Ratoath Road, Cabra yesterday (Monday 04.03.13). DVI aims to facilitate and support members of the Deaf community nationally to encourage inclusivity and the local community and communication between the two groups. 9th Place finish for Chris Bryan in Israel

Chris Bryan has finished 9th at his first Open Water Competition of 2013.  The Swim Ireland Limerick Performance Centre swimmer travelled to Eilat, Israel last week with new coach Lars Humer for the 3rd leg of the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup Series.
