Swimmers Enter Final Week of Swim for a Mile Training

Over 1,000 people have now entered their final week in the Swim for a Mile Challenge training! After 12 weeks of training in pools across the country, participants are ready to swim the mile, with this week’s sessions set at 1,600m. Impressive Ireland Secure 8 Nations Bronze

Sunday March 16th 2014:  Ireland turned around a 15-7 defeat from Austria yesterday to beat them 13-6 in today’s Bronze medal game on the final day of competition in the EU 8 Nations Water Polo Championships at the University of Limerick. March 15th 2014:  Malta continued their dominance of the EU 8 Nations Water Polo Tournament in Limerick today with a resounding 17-7 win over Ireland in tonight’s semi-final encounter. Austrians prove too strong for Ireland

Saturday March 15th 2014:  Austria proved too strong for Ireland in the final round of pool games at the EU 8 Nations Water Polo Tournament at the University of Limerick Swimming Pool this morning. UCD Race to Midnight

On Friday the 11th of April the UCD Sport and Exercise Management students are hosting the UCD Race to Midnight 12 hour charity swim in the UCD 50m pool. Fundraisers Swim a Mile for Padraig

On Sunday 2nd March, almost 100 swimmers made their way to Trinity College Dublin to show their support for Padraig Schaler by getting into the pool to swim a mile. A great variety of people came to show their support . Date for your Diary! Ireland will be hosting the 2014 EU 8 Nations Water Polo Tournament at UL Sport this March!
