Competition continued today at Swim Ireland’s Irish Age Group Championships and Summer Open at the NAC, Dublin with some familiar names returning to the podium to collect additional titles on day two of competition. Thursday evening’s finals started with some swift swims from both the boys and girls in the 50m Freestyle. Dingley 33rd in Worlds Debut; Four Swimmers Through to Finals in Bahamas

Rio 2016 Olympian Oliver Dingley placed 33rd overall after a tough morning at the FINA Diving World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The 24 year old, who has been suffering through an ankle injury, was disappointed not to make this afternoon’s semi-final. Dingley started well with a score of 67.50 points, which would be his highest score of the day, to place 20th of 58 competitors after round 1. Dingley to Make World Championship Debut in Budapest

Rio 2016 Olympian Oliver Dingley will be Ireland’s first competitor in action as the FINA World Championships get underway in Budapest, Hungary this week. Dingley will compete in the 3M Springboard preliminaries on Wednesday morning, an event in which he finished 8th at the Olympic Games in Brazil. Irish Team of 40 named to compete at European Youth Olympic Festival in Hungary

The Olympic Council of Ireland today announced a team of 40, including 12 swimmers, to compete at the 2017 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Gyor, Hungary from July 24th to 30th. The multi-sport event will see Irish athletes (aged 13-17) compete against the best youth athletes in Europe.
