Ireland Host 4 Nations Water Polo

National Aquatic Centre, Dublin September 13th + 14th 2014  Ireland Water Polo will host the 4 Nations tournament this September, at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin. Teams from Denmark, Scotland and Wales will compete against the host nation. Both men’s and women’s teams will represent their countries over the 2 days. Irish Swimmers Impress at UK Schools Games

Congratulations to the team of Irish swimmers at UK Schools Games in Manchester over the weekend who returned home with 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze medal. Gerry Quinn impressed with Gold in both the 100m and 200m Freestyle. Antoinette Neamt was Ireland’s other Gold medallist in the 400m Freestyle and also raced to silver in the 800m Freestyle. Fiona Doyle 7th in European 50m Breaststroke Final

Ireland’s Fiona Doyle has finished 7th in the 50m Breaststroke Final on the last day of competition at the European Swimming Championships in Berlin, Germany. Following last night’s semi-final Doyle was ranked 6th going into tonight’s Final in a time of 31.30 seconds. Fiona Doyle has secured her place in the 50m Breaststroke Final on the penultimate day of competition at the European Swimming Championships in Berlin, Germany but there was disappointment for Sycerika McMahon who was outside the top 8. Sycerika McMahon and Fiona Doyle have secured places in tonight’s 50m Breaststroke semi-finals at the European Swimming Championships in Berlin. Ireland’s Sycerika McMahon and Fiona Doyle could not progress from the heats of the 200m Breaststroke on the fourth day of competition at the European Swimming Championships in Berlin.
