Introduction

Child welfare and protection is the overarching policy for Swim Ireland, and must be a priority for all adults working with and responsible for children.  This overarching ethos is reflected in our Swim Ireland Safeguarding Children Policies; these are important documents for all members to read and implement.

The National Children’s Officer liaises with Club Children’s Officers and other relevant people working in Clubs and Associate members, helping and supporting all members with the implementation of the document.  The NCO also advises and guides Club Support Officers to assist Clubs in following the policies and procedures and is available for any difficulties that may arise. The National Children’s Officer is Kate Hills and she can be contacted on children@swimireland.ie
