Ireland’s Chris Bryan travels to Argentina this week to compete at the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup.
Competition will take place in Saturday (5pm Irish time) in the Rio Negro River in the Patagonia Region of Argentina with 37 competitors taking part including Gold and Silver medallists from the FINA Open Water World Championships 10K event in 2013; Spyridon Gianniotis (Greece) and Thomas Lurz (Germany).
Bryan had some impressive results in the Open Water 10K in 2013 with a win at the Portuguese Open, a 7th place finish at the World University Games in Russia and a 16th place finish at the FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships in Barcelona in July. He will look to continue this good form into 2014 with European Championships in Berlin in August the major Open Water competition this year.
