Swim Ireland are pleased to announce the Irish Team selected for the Celtic Tri Nations 2013.
Selection was made by the National Performance Director, Peter Banks.
The selection criteria has been based on the fastest swimmer in each Olympic event available for selection from the period of July 1st 2012 to March 1st 2013.
Each nation can have a maximum of 10 male and 10 female representatives.
In the case where the fastest swimmer was unavailable to accept their place the place was then offered to the next available swimmer and so on until the fourth fastest swimmer was nominated.
The team will travel to East Kilbride, Scotland, to compete at the Celtic Tri Nations from May 10th-12th. The event will be run in conjunction with the West District Open and promises to be a competitive occasion between the 3 Nations all vying for the Celtic Tri Nations Championship Title.
The meet will run a full Olympic Programme and will offer the selected Irish representatives a ‘last chance’ opportunity to qualify for the major meets of the summer.
