Limerick Swimming Club was born out of the success of the Limerick Training Squad, which was made up of Seal and St. Pauls swimming clubs.
The club became the focal point of the swimming community as being Limerick’s only competitive swimming club, it relied on the continued expertise and hard work of Seal, St. Pauls, teaching clubs and their instructors along with our Masters.
Join us on a journey that started in the old pools of St. Enda’s, Roxboro, Askeaton and Shannon, often without lane ropes all along to the present day of the National 50m Swimming Pool at the University of Limerick and the High Performance Centre.
The Club has produced Two Paralympians, numerous Youth Olympians, World Championship and Duel in the Pool participants. Others have competed in World Masters Championships and International Triathlon events.
This event is to acknowledge all the committees, parents, fundraisers and swimmers, it is a chance to catch up and talk of early mornings, soggy cornflakes and sunny training camps! We hope you can make it!Read More
