Irish Open Long Course Masters Championship Gala

The 2015 Irish Open Long Course Masters Championship gala will be held at the UL Arena 50m swimming pool in Limerick this weekend on Friday and Saturday 6th and 7th of March. The project, which was initiated in 2014, will challenge members of the public to compete in national events to swim a mile. The Ireland National Team Member and University of Calgary student is swimming at the CIS Swimming Champs this weekend. In the (short course) heats of the 100m Breaststroke yesterday Fiona set a NEW IRISH SENIOR RECORD of 1:05.95 and qualified first into the Finals. Trinity do the Double at Water Polo Intervarsities!

Despite the bad weather throughout the country 14 teams travelled to Trinity College Dublin for the Water Polo Intervarsities on 30th/31st January.  The competition was launched by Maeve Phillips, Trinity Sports Scholar & World Down Syndrome Swimmer, and Amanda Ní Ghabhann, Water Polo Development Officer for Swim Ireland.
