Shane Ryan and Conor Ferguson are through to the 100m Backstroke semi-final on the opening day of competition at the LEN European Swimming Championships in London. A 12 strong team of Irish swimmers have travelled to London this weekend as they prepare to take on Europe’s best at the LEN European Swimming Championships taking place in the London Aquatics Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from May 16th – 24th. Ireland Men Water Polo Compete at EU Nations Cup

Ireland’s Senior Men’s Water Polo have travelled to Malta this week for the EU Nations Cup and will compete from May 12th – 15th against Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Scotland, Wales, South Africa and Malta. Ireland’s Oliver Dingley has secured a second top ten finish at the LEN European Championships in London this evening after he finished 8th in the 3m Springboard Final. Dingley was 6th in the 1m Springboard event on Tuesday. An opening score of 65.10 points saw Dingley 9th after the first round but 69.70 points in round 2 and his highest scored dive of 74.80 in round 3 saw him move up the rankings into 6th place. Dingley Comfortably Through to Euro 3m Final

Oliver Dingley has progressed to his second Final at the European Diving Championships in London today. The 23 year old eased into the Final of the 3m in 7th place with a score of 404.35. Dingley was never in doubt of making the final and remained within the top ten throughout the six rounds of dives. Ireland’s Oliver Dingley has finished in 8th place in the 1m Springboard Final at the European Diving Champions at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Dingley, who lives and trains at the National Sports Campus in Dublin, had progressed to this evening’s final in 6th place. Irish diver Oliver Dingley has secured a place in the 1m Springboard Final with an impressive score of 364.95 points on the opening day of Diving at the European Aquatics Championships in London.
