Weekend Roundup: McMahon & Bryan Compete Abroad; Celtic Masters take place at NAC

Irish swimmers impressed over the weekend with some fantastic results from Ireland and abroad.

Chris Bryan completed his season with a 12th place finish at the FINA Open Water 10K World Cup in Hong Kong. Having touched in 14th in the China event last week, Chris went 2 places better, finishing in 12th place in 1 hour, 56 minutes and 21 seconds, less than 10 seconds behind the winner Christian Reichert of Germany (1:56.12).

Sycerika McMahon was in impressive form as she helped her Texas A&M teammates to their first victory of the 2014-15 season with a 170-120 win over Arkansas. Sycerika won both the 100Y (1:01.79) and 200Y Breaststroke (2:14.39) and was also a member of the Medley Relay winning team.

Back on home soil, the Celtic Masters took place at the NAC. Some fantastic results with a number of Irish records are listed below –
