Safeguarding Courses

This course provides participants with an understanding of a child-centred environment in sport whilst also setting out the statutory guidance for responding to and reporting concerns of abuse. This course is mandatory for all positions involved with young people and is highly recommended for parents to give an understanding of the responsibilities in a sports club.

Minimum age to attend this course is 16 years-old. Learners between the ages of 16 and 18 require parental consent to attend this course - the consent form will be attached to your booking confirmation.

Safeguarding Level 1 courses are delivered in a virtual classroom and have two versions, depending on location - Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Participants should choose the appropriate course based on where they live and operate.

Price €20 (exclusive of credit/debit card payment surcharge of 2%)

This course provides the Designated Liaison Person (Club Children’s Officer) with the knowledge and understanding of statutory guidance. The legislation relevant to each jurisdiction is covered to ensure a clear understanding of reporting procedures. This course is mandatory for Designated Liaison Persons (Club Children’s Officers).

The minimum age for attending this course is 18 years-old and candidates must hold a Safeguarding Level 1 or Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Certificate.
