Team managers play an essential role, supporting their athletes, coaches and clubs when taking part in competitions and travelling abroad.
Swim Ireland have developed e-Learning courses to support the training and development of team managers.
Following completion of one or both courses we recommend a period of mentoring with more experienced team managers.
Team Manager - Competitions
This course is for volunteers who wish to act as Team Manager for their club at competitions, from club galas up to and including Senior National competitions.

Team Manager - Away Trips
This course is for volunteers who wish to act as Team Manager on an away trip, domestic or international, for one or more nights.

Team Manager - Water Polo Training
This course is for volunteers who wish to act as Team Manager at a Water Polo training session in their club.

Role Requirements
To act in the role of Team Manager you must meet and maintain the following requirements:
- Age - at least 20 years old
- Vetting - Active Vetting NVB or Access NI with Swim Ireland
- Safeguarding - Active Safeguarding 1 Certificate
- Qualified - Complete this online module to act as a Team Manager at a domestic competition
- Membership - You must have a Swim Ireland club membership
