The Swim Ireland Membership team are delighted to launch the Coach and Committee Agreement which has been developed to support and enhance the vital relationship between coaches and committees in our clubs. This new resource will provide all clubs with a template document that can be tailored to your club and has been formulated following consultation with clubs across Ireland in early 2019.

Facilitated workshops were held in in each region with coaches and committee members working in peer groups to outline their role and support needs.

Utilising the data collected from attendees at all regional club days a follow up survey was developed to further ascertain the needs and supports for coaches and committees.  This survey was then circulated to all individuals within Swim Ireland clubs who held a role of coach or committee member.

Using the feedback gathered from the consultation days and follow up survey we have finalised the Coach and Committee Agreement which includes guidance documents and templates.  The templates can be edited to suit the unique needs for your club.

Over the course of the consultation period clubs have also provided feedback on support they would like from Swim Ireland which will allow the membership department to tailor the resources and support programmes for clubs over the next two years.

A short webinar will be held to present the Coach and Committee Agreement to clubs on Monday 18th November 7.30pm-8.30pm.  Coaches and committee members are encouraged to participate, sign up on https://swimireland.azolve.com... Search for “webinar” on the Events and Courses page

Clubs are invited to engage with their club support officers to put the Coach and Committee Agreement in place in their club.  A certificate will be presented to clubs to sign and display on their noticeboard or club website.
