Eoin Corby, Grace Hodgins and Molly Mayne will represent Ireland at this week's LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia.
Corby (National Centre Limerick) and Mayne (Hamilton Aquatics) come into this meet off the back of strong performances at the FINA Swimming World Cup, with Mayne setting six personal bests in the 25m pool.
Hodgins, from Trojan Swimming Club in Dublin, is making her international debut for Ireland, having knocked 32 seconds off her 1500m Freestyle personal best in the 50m pool already this year.
The 16-year-old also set a new 800m personal best this summer and will compete in those two events at her first European Championships.
Corby, 19, and Mayne, 16, will both contest the 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke events, Corby already holding the long and short course Irish Junior Records for these.
At the FINA Swimming World Cup in Doha, Qatar last month, Mayne was just 0.1 second off Mona McSharry's 50m Breaststroke junior record, and 0.09 seconds off her 200m Breaststroke junior record.
In addition, Corby will swim the 100m Individual Medley, which he is also an Irish National Record holder in, while Mayne will contest 100m and 200m Individual Medley, and 50m Butterfly.
Each swimmer is looking for personal bests and short course racing experience on an international stage, with all three having had very limited opportunities to race in this format during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Irish teams for the LEN European and FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships were announced last week.
