Larne Swimmer, Nathan Wiffen opened this morning’s proceedings at the Swim Ireland Performance Meet, with a personal best of 2:05.66 in the Men’s 200m Backstroke.

National Centre swimmers Darragh Greene (NCD) and Eoin Corby (NCL) topped the Men’s 200m Breaststroke heat, with Greene touching first in 2:15.26. Eoin Corby is one to watch for this evening’s final as he aims to achieve the FINA ‘A’ consideration time of 2:10.35.

Ellen Walshe was back in the water this morning, after a blistering set of finals over the last few days. Ellen posted a personal best in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke, in a time of 2:33.13. Niamh Coyne touched second with a time of 2:34.23 and will continue her search for the FINA ‘A’ consideration time tonight.

Ards swimmer Paddy Johnston swam a time of 54.85 in the Men’s 100m Butterfly, while in the Women’s 50m Freestyle Danielle Hill continued her good form and is the fastest swimmer going into tonight’s final in a time of 25.63.

This morning’s session concluded with 2 heats in the Men’s 100m Freestyle, with Jack Grace as the fastest qualifier for this evening’s final in a time of 51.16.
