Our National Squads started their 2020 Long Course season at the Challenge International de Geneve and Flanders Cup.
The 15 swimmers on the Performance Pathway squad returned from Switzerland with 12 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze), while Eoin Corby set the first National Record of the year in the Junior Boys 50m Breaststroke
The 9 swimmers from the Performance squad returned from Belgium with 11 medals (4 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze),while Ellen Walshe became the first Irish female swimmer to break 60 seconds in the 100m Butterfly
Both squads now turn their attention to the McCullagh International in Bangor as the next stage in their preparation for the Irish Open Championships in April.
Our Performance Divers kicked off the 2020 competition season at the British Diving Championships and Eindhoven Cup.
At the British Diving Championships Tanya Watson set a new National Record in the 10m Platform event, and Clare Cryan narrowly missed out on the final of the 3m Springboard event.
At the Eindhoven Cup Oliver Dingley and Ciara McGing picked up bronze medals in the 3m Springboard and 10m Platform respectively
The divers now turn their focus to the FINA Grand Prix events in Madrid and Rostock as part of their preparation for the FINA World Cup in April.
