Danielle Hill and Jack McMillan have both qualified for semi-finals on the third day of racing at the Commonwealth Games at the Sandwell Aquatic Centre.
Hill has had an impressive meet so far and is already qualified for tonight’s 50m Freestyle Final. This morning, the 22-year-old was ninth overall in the 50m Butterfly in 26.92, with the top 16 progressing to the 19.17 semi-final. Less than an hour late, Hill will compete in her first individual final, the 50m Freestyle, after breaking the Irish Record on Saturday in 25.15 to advance in sixth place.
Also, in semi-final action this evening will be Jack McMillan. The 22-year-old just missed a place in the 200m Freestyle Final on Saturday but progresses in the 100m event in eleventh overall clocking 49.61.
16-year-old Siomha Brady makes her Commonwealth Games debut in the S8 100m Backstroke Final at 19.35.
Kaitlyn McCaw was also competing in the 50m Butterfly this morning touching in 28.07 for 23rd place overall.
