Ireland's Shane Ryan and Danielle Hill look set to compete in the International Swimming League's Play-Offs, after both their teams made the cut at the end of the regular season matches.

Ryan's Toronto Titans finished fourth in the league table, earning automatic progression to the Play-Offs, but Hill's Team Iron faced a nail-biting extra match to decide their fate.

Competing for the last time in Naples, they needed to finish in the top two of four teams across the two-day match.

They finished Day 1 on Wednesday in second, and maintained their placing throughout Day 2 on Thursday, finishing nearly 100pts clear of third-placed New York Breakers.

The ISL 2021 Play-Offs begin in Eindhoven on November 11, with Team Iron taking on Energy Standard, DC Trident and Cali Condors in the first event.

You can view all the match-ups and dates in the ISL 2021 Play-Off Schedule.

This season is Ryan's third with the ISL and second with Toronto Titans, while Hill is making her ISL debut. See their results so far in the data below, and scroll to the bottom to find out more about the International Swimming League.

About International Swimming League

Now in its third year, the ISL is a professional swimming league, bringing 320 swimmers from 50 countries to Naples, Italy.

Athletes train and compete with their team mates, all based in Naples. For Danielle Hill and Shane Ryan this is an opportunity to train and compete with the world's best.

Athletes are split across 10 teams; Cali Condors (California), Team Iron (Budapest), Tokyo Frog Kings, London Roar, DC Trident (Washington DC), New York Breakers, Toronto Titans, LA Current, Aqua Centurions (Italy) and Energy Standard (Ukraine).

The teams will face off against each other in a series of 10 matches from August 26 to September 30.

There is then a play-off phase in November, which will bring together the top eight ISL Clubs to compete for a spot in the ISL Final.

The ISL Grand Final is set to take place at the end of December or early January 2022, when the ISL Champions will be crowned.
