Becoming a Swim Ireland Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teacher qualifies you to assist in teaching people how to swim, giving them a life-skill and a sport for life.
This course is now online, allowing you to complete two key parts of the course from the comfort of your home, as well as some parts of the Practical Assessment.
The pool-side element of our practical assessment will take place when it is safe to do so, and at a location which suits.

How it works
Like many of our other Online Qualification Courses, the Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teacher qualification course is split into three elements:
- Online Module via our eLearning Platform: STEP
- Four 2hr sessions in our Virtual Classroom with your Swim Ireland Tutor
- Practical Assessment - 12hrs: some at pool, some in Virtual Classroom
