With the 2019 Open Water season just around the corner, National Senior Team Head Coach Ben Higson will be running an Open Water swimming clinic on Tuesday 25th June from 17:30-20:30 at the National Aquatic Centre

Ben is a former coach of European Open Water Champion Danielle Huskisson, one of Britain's most experienced marathon swimmers having competed at three World Championships (including most recently Budapest 2017). The majority, if not all, of Danielle's training with Ben was done in the pool at Stirling as access to open water was not readily available

The clinic is aimed at those currently taking part in Open Water swimming or Triathlons and looking to improve their fitness and technique. The sessions take place in the pool as the majority of Open Water swimmers do most of their training in the pool, particularly during the winter months

The clinic consists of a 90 minute pool session led by Ben which will focus on skills and technique. This session will be followed by a classroom session where Ben will go through a number of sets aimed at improving open water fitness (Tea & Coffee will be available during this session)

Each participant will also be given a copy of the sets to take home with them

If you are unable to attend on the night, but would like to receive a copy of the sets, these can be purchased separately

Places on the clinic are available for booking HERE where you will also find information on purchasing the sessions

Please note that those who purchase the sessions will not receive these until AFTER the clinic has taken place
