It's week two of International Swimming League Season 3 Play-Offs and Ireland's Shane Ryan and Danielle Hill will both be in action.

Last week Hill swam her fastest ever 100m Freestyle lap in a relay, when helping Team Iron finish third in the Women's 4x100m Freestyle Relay in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Diving in third, the Irish Senior Record holder clocked 53.45, having set her previous best of 53.57 at the ISL in September.

She went on to swim her third fastest 100m Freestyle lap time when closing out Team Iron's Mixed 4x100m Freestyle relay in 54.84, and came close to bettering her own 100m Backstroke Irish Senior Record twice.

In Women's 4x100m Medley Relay and the Women's 100m Backstroke, she swam 58.51 and 58.52 - both times less than 0.3 seconds slower than her Irish Senior Record of 58.29.

This week Hill's Team Iron competes in ISL Play-Off Match 4 on Saturday and Sunday, taking on LA Current, London Roar and Cali Condors.

For Ryan's team Toronto Titans, the challenge comes in ISL Play-Off Match 3 on Thursday and Friday, where they face Aqua Centurions, DC Trident and Energy Standard.

In Toronto Titans first play-off match, Ryan competed in 50m and 100m Backstroke and the Backstroke legs of the Men's and Mixed 4x100m Medley Relays.

His first 100m backstroke was his strongest, swimming 51.44 to help his team into fourth place. His Irish Senior Record in short course 100m backstroke is 50.17 - he set that during ISL Season 2 semi-finals in November last year.

After their first play-off match, Toronto Titans are currently on track to make the ISL Season 3 Final.

They are fourth in the league table, with the top four set to compete in the final match across two sessions on December 3 and 4 at the Pieter van den Hoogenband Zwemstadion in the Netherlands.

However, Team Iron in seventh position are only four points behind Toronto Titans and that crucial top four.

More about ISL Season 3

The ISL is a professional, team-based swimming league, which brings swimmers from all over the world together to train and race together in a fast-paced format in 25m pools.

During the ordinary season there were 10 teams and 10 matches, each match featuring four teams, who compete across two sessions over two consecutive days.

The eight teams who accumulated the most points during that phase of the league will now face off in six play-off matches - each match again featuring four teams.

Toronto Titans were a new team in 2020 and finished 7th overall, while Team Iron finish 6th.
