Season Preparation Series

The new season is upon us! Get ready for the 2019/2020 season with the right tools to progress your swimming! This series includes 6 technique clinics taking place throughout the September weekends. Each clinic has a different skill focus, providing something for everyone! All sessions are designed and delivered by National Centre, Dublin Coaches.

All clinics will take place at the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin. Further information on the clinic details can be found below:

Saturday August 31st, 07:45- 09:30: Starts and Generating Speed:

Block & Backstroke start technique
Block and Backstroke wedge usage
Body position for each phase of the dive
Transitioning lower body strength into generating power
Going for distance

Sunday September 1st, 16:00-18:00 : Turns and Generating Speed

Touch and tumble turn technique
Transitioning lower body strength into generating power
Body position on rotational phase and push off
Timing of underwaters, pull outs and break outs for maximum momentum!

Saturday September 7th, 07:45- 09:30: Swimming Smart

Your tool box for training and competition, vital rules to live by to further your swimming:

Streamline technique
Body position during strokes and skills
Breathing patterns for training and racing
Dry land: Foam rolling, stretching, mobilisation and engaging exercises: technique and routine!
