As the open water season starts to gear up, we are pleased to announce that Swim Ireland and Leinster Open Sea are working in partnership to provide a good number of races for Special Members in 2018. This is a great opportunity for swimmers to take part in some exciting races on the Leinster Open Sea calendar and enjoy what the Leinster coastline has to offer. In addition to this, we have several races and masters events taking place around the country.

To enter any of the Leinster Open Sea races you MUST complete the following steps below:
1. Read the Leinster Open Sea Rules – Click here
2. Complete the online registration form and receive a LOS race number – Online form
Once you have undertaken these steps you are registered with Leinster Open Sea.
*Please note you MUST receive a race number to compete in any races and this is different to your Swim Ireland membership number
3. You will need to pre-register for events so that we can pass on this information to race organisers. All pre-event registration must take place by the Wednesday 8pm the week of any race. – Sign up is through your online profile within the online membership database.
Your membership details can be viewed via the Swim Ireland Database at https://swimireland.azolve.com/.
Follow this link and you can sign in using your e-mail address or Swim Ireland ID number as your username and reset your password using the ‘Forgot Password’ button on the log in screen. Races can then be found in the Events and Courses Tab under Members and Clubs.
Race times may change due to tide times, so for more information and further details on each race please see the Leinster Open Sea Website & Facebook page.
At the event
On the day registration will close thirty minutes before each race, so please ensure you arrive with enough time to register (If you are competing in your first race please allow enough time to familiarise yourself with the process). You will be required to pay an entry fee on the day to race organisers so please ensure you have cash to hand, it is normally €10.
