From tomorrow (11 Dec) pools across Northern Ireland plan to open for individual training only. This follows two weeks of pool closures throughout the province.

Swim Ireland and Swim Ulster are disappointed that clubs are still unable to resume their activities and will be writing to the Northern Ireland Executive and the Department of Communities asking that restrictions are eased to accommodate the safe return of club swimming and water polo in under Swim Ireland "Return to Water" protocols.

We are aware of some pools that are not opening tomorrow and will be writing to the local providers asking them to reconsider their decision to keep facilities closed.

Throughout this pandemic Swim Ireland and Swim Ulster have been in constant contact with the NI Executive and the Department of Communities lobbying on behalf of the club's resident in Northern Ireland.

Swim Ulster have scheduled meetings next week with Chairs and Coaches from all the clubs to discuss current restriction and the Sport NI Sustainability Fund.
