Virtual Open Water Series - Available To Members & Non-Members

Swim Ireland has been delighted by the response to our Summer 2020 Virtual Open Water Series since its launch in early May, and can now reveal an updated schedule, including two new webinars!
Coming up first is Aine Purcell-Milton from Clean Coasts, with her webinar: Marine Life & Biodiversity in Open Water.
Aine is anopen water swimmer, scuba dive instructor and free diver, who will tell you about Clean Coasts and the work they carry out in our waters, and discuss the amazing biodiversity found on our coasts, including tales of her own, first-hand interactions with our wildlife.
Marine Life & Biodiversity in Open Water starts at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 23.
Our second new speaker is Ned Denison, Ireland’s most prolific marathon swimmer, who will be coming to you live on our Webinar Platform on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30pm.

Why Did We Launch Our Virtual Open Water Series?
With the release of our Return To Water Roadmap on Friday 15th May, and the relaxation on outdoor exercise restrictions from today, Monday 18th May – we were keen to ensure everyone’s safety in and around water on the island of Ireland.

Whether you can get into open water or not, we wanted to offer both education and inspiration, for all open water swimmers, and aspiring open water swimmers.
