As advised in previous correspondence on 5 February 2021, the Swim Ireland Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, 10 April 2021, commencing at 11.00am.
The AGM will take place in Irish Sports HQ and Club Delegates are invited to join virtually on the Zoom Platform, in keeping with public health guidelines.
Each Club is entitled to send two (2) Delegates to the meeting. Club Secretaries must register Delegates in advance using the link below on or before 5.00pm on Friday 9 April and must supply the email addresses of the Delegates.
A secure link and detailed instructions to assist Delegates will be sent to all registered Delegates by 9.00pm on Friday, 9 April.

A Sign Language interpretation will be provided throughout the AGM. The meeting will be live streamed on Swim Ireland’s YouTube channel, allowing members who are not Delegates to attend virtually.

NOTICE OF MOTIONS
Members are also advised that the Board of Directors is putting forward one (1) Motions for consideration at the meeting.
Full details of the Motion is contained in an attached Document 5, 'Motions & Elections', but in brief, the effect of the Motion, if accepted, will be to provide that where a National Committee does not naturally achieve a minimum gender balance of 70/30, each Committee shall co-opt additional members to achieve such balance.
COMPANY ELECTIONS
The election of the Board of Directors takes place at the AGM. The closing date for receipt of nominations was Friday 12 March 2021.
No more than one nomination was received for any vacant position and therefore no election is required. However, members will be asked to ratify the appointment of the Board at the meeting. Details are contained in Document 5. Notice of Motions & Elections.

Finally, we advise you that important AGM documentation is attached, and we would ask Club Secretaries to ensure that Delegates are given a copy of all documentation and that Delegates take some time to read this in advance. The 2020 Annual Report will issue in advance of the meeting.
