Swim Ireland will offer access to three tiers of Strength & Conditioning support for registered Swim Ireland members, to help them during pool closures.
The emphasis of all tiers of the programme will be on developing strong fundamental movement patterns via online coaching.
The programme will be delivered by the Performance Lab in Cookstown, and will run for five weeks, from the week beginning on November 16 to the week beginning on December 14.
The Performance Lab have provided strength and conditioning, and physiotherapy support to the Regional Squad programmes since 2017, and their four pillars - movement, strength, conditioning, and nutrition - shape the services they provide to their members, National Governing Bodies and Sports Clubs.
Important details:
- This programme is hosted and delivered by Performance Lab. To facilitate this delivery, we will need to share contact name and email address of participants. Please ensure contact email address is correct.
- Under 18's should be supervised by a responsible adult, and all participants should ensure their exercise space is safe prior to commencing activity.
- Participants should inform class instructor of any injuries or illnesses in advance of class commencing.
- Participants should wear clothing and footwear appropriate for gym based activity
- This is a pilot programme, so places are limited. It is our intention to seek feedback at the end of the five-week programme to ascertain the interest in S&C support in 2021.
- We have endeavoured to keep costs to participants to a minimum, whilst also placing a value on the instructor’s time and expertise.
- There are age and membership restrictions in place on the programme. Participants must have a current Swim Ireland membership and must be within the age group on 31st December 2020. i.e. An individual who is currently 12 years old, turning 13 on 20th December should book a place on the 13-16 group.

Details | The Superheroes Programme is a fun, engaging way for children aged 12&U to learn fundamental movements.
