Regional Skills Academy

Applications for the Swim Ireland Regional Skills Academy will reopen from 27th September to the 8th October 2021.
The programme is open to registered competitive swimmers born 2009 and 2010 who are looking to improve as a person and as an athlete. No competitive results are required.
The Skills Academy Programme is very much about building a love and interest in the sport of swimming. It will provide support in areas that can help young people as they start their swimming journey, a journey that will hopefully see them achieve their goals, develop life skills and offer fun experiences.
It is very likely that some athletes born 2009 have never competed in a Regional or National competition due to COVID-19, so if you are new to the sport this could be a great way of getting involved in a programme that will involve up to 400 athletes from all clubs across the country and hopefully you will get to meet some of these athletes at competitions over the next 12 months.

Please note the following:
- Athletes should be registered as competitive members for the 2021/2022 season. If they are not they should contact their club to resolve this
- All registered athletes will already have a membership profile so you SHOULD NOT create a new one. If you are unsure of your login details please contact your club secretary for your athlete’s username (this is more than likely their Swim Ireland membership number) so you can send yourself a reset link
- Tickets will not show as available if the person logged in is not eligible (i.e. not the correct age and not registered as a competitive member) - please ensure you are logged in to the swimmer's profile to ensure the tickets are showing correctly
How to apply:
Ulster - Applications will re-open at 0900hrs on Monday 27th September and close at 2359hrs on Friday 8th October 2021
Leinster - Applications will re-open at 0900hrs on Monday 27th September and close at 2359hrs on Friday 8th October 2021
Munster - Applications will re-open at 0900hrs on Monday 27th September and close at 2359hrs on Friday 8th October 2021
Connacht - Applications will re-open at 0900hrs on Monday 27th September and close at 2359hrs on Friday 8th October 2021
