#WePlay: Inspiring Girls in Sport Conference
Swim Ireland is delighted to announce the return of the annual #WePlay: Inspiring Girls in Sport, a one-day conference for females of all ages and abilities involved in sport, exploring body image, health and well-being as a competitive athlete. The Conference will take place on Saturday the 20th of October, starting at 09:30 at the National Indoor Arena on the National Sports Campus.
The conference, hosted by Swim Ireland and funded through Sport Ireland’s Women in Sport Programme, is open to athletes, coaches, parents and supporters from all sports and will see some of Ireland's top female athletes come together on what promises to be a great day with the theme ‘Strong is the New Pretty’ playing a key focus across all of the panels and talks.
Key note speaker Lisa Clancy will deliver on ‘Creating Your Own Brand’ while athletes including Ellen Keane (Para Swimming), Phil Healy (Athletics), Aoife Murray (Camogie), Grainne Murphy (Swimming), Natalya Coyle (Pentathlon) and others will sit on panels discussing body image and balancing life as an athlete. RTE’s Evanne Ni Chuillinn will MC for the day.
