Women in Sport Coaching & Mentoring Programme 2021

Women in Sport Coaching & Mentoring Programme 2021

The Women in Sport (WIS) Coaching & Mentoring Programme was launched by Swim Ireland in 2018, funded by Sport Ireland. The aim of the programme is to address the lack of female coaching across Irish aquatics. Since its launch, 111 candidates have completed coaching qualifications (level 1 and 2).

You can find updates on upcoming Coaching courses available through the WIS Coaching & Mentoring Programme below. Each course involves a blend of online training and classroom / pool elements.

Spaces are distributed via an application process completed via STEP (detailed below), successful candidates will receive a discounted course fee, along with mentoring opportunities post course.

Although the Covid-19 Global Pandemic is affecting the practical element of courses, we have adjusted courses so that theory elements can be completed online followed by practical elements thereafter.
