Women in Sport Coaching & Mentoring Programme

Women in Sport Coaching & Mentoring Programme

The Women in Sport (WIS) Coaching & Mentoring Programme was launched by Swim Ireland in 2018, funded by Sport Ireland. The aim of the programme is to address the lack of female coaching across Irish aquatics. Since its launch, 146 candidates have completed coaching qualifications and gender parity has been achieved within Level 1 and 2 Swim Coaching. Further work is to be carried within Level 3 Swim Coaching and Level 1 and 2 Diving and Water Polo.

Each course involves a blend of online training and classroom / pool elements. Places are distributed via an application process, successful candidates will receive a discounted course fee, along with mentoring opportunities post course.

As places become available on Level 3 Swim Coaching, Level 1 and 2 Diving and Water Polo, they will be posted here on this webpage!
