Ireland’s young diving stars get their European Junior Championships campaign underway tomorrow with a little piece of history being made.

National Centre Dublin and Shamrock Diving Club’s Anna Power and Ciara McGing and Tanya Watson, based in Southampton Diving Academy, will represent Ireland across six days of competition in Helsinki, Finland. All three girls are representing Ireland for the first time at International level.

14-year-old Power gets proceedings underway for Ireland in the 3M Springboard Preliminaries tomorrow where the top 12 will make the afternoon Final.

The evening session will then see Anna pair up with Ciara McGing for the 3M Synchro Final, marking the first time that Ireland will be represented in synchronised diving at an international event.

McGing then returns to the boards on Wednesday with Tanya Watson making her debut in the Platform (10m) Preliminaries.
