Swim Ireland Education are excited to announce our first annual swimming teachers conference and awards.

Join Swim Ireland Tutors for a series of interactive workshops in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin Airport on Sunday 5 February.

Registration and exhibitors hall opens at 9am, with conference commencing at 10.15 with a keynote speaker.

Attendees will then have a choice of three workshops to participate in throughout the day.

AN EVENING OF CELEBRATION

Swimdustry awards will recognise excellence, innovation and inclusivity in the swimming industry.

Swimming pool operators and managers, swimming teachers and Swim Ireland Tutors are invited to join us for this unique evening of celebration of Learn to Swim Programmes across the island of Ireland.

Drinks reception commences at 7pm with dinner served at 8pm, followed by presentation of awards.

Award nominations are open until Sunday 8 January.

Award Categories

Swimming Teacher of the Year

We want to recognise swimming teachers who provide quality lessons within their facility or swim school. If you know a swimming teacher who is motivated to deliver a high-quality service to learners, willing to go above and beyond to support other swimming teachers.

Criteria:

  • Must have a Swim Ireland Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
  • Must have at least three years’ experience as a Swimming Teacher
  • Actively teaching in a facility or swim school in Ireland
  • Can show evidence of delivering a high-quality service
Young Swimming Teacher of the Year (under 25)

This award recognises the next generation of swimming teachers within facilities and swim schools nationwide. Nominees should show an interest in personal development and providing quality swimming lessons.

Criteria:

  • Must have a Swim Ireland Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
  • Must have at least one years’ experience as a Swimming Teacher
  • Actively teaching in a facility or swim school in Ireland
Learn to Swim Partner of the Year

This award recognises Swim Ireland Learn to Swim Partners who deliver an exemplary service to their members.

Criteria:

  • Must be a Learn to Swim Partner
  • Swimming teachers are Swim Ireland qualified and licensed
  • Can show evidence of programme delivery and positive feedback from programme participants
Inclusive swimming programme

This award recognises facilities and swimming programmes who promote diversity and inclusion within their programme. This award is not limited to Learn to Swim Partners.

Criteria:

  • Swimming teachers are Swim Ireland qualified and licensed
  • Can show evidence of diversity and inclusion within your programme
  • Can show evidence of programme delivery and positive feedback from programme participants
Educator of the Year

We want to recognise Swim Ireland tutors who go above and beyond to deliver high quality and interactive courses, supporting course candidates to achieve their learning objectives.

Criteria:

  • Delivered at least three virtual or practical courses in 2022
  • Up to date with Swim Ireland licensing requirements
  • Feedback received from course candidates
