Clubs have been issued with notice of a Swim Ireland Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) which will be held on January 19 2023 at 18.30 on the ZOOM Platform.

The sole Agenda item for the EGM is the consideration of amendments to the Swim Ireland Constitution in the form of four (4) Motions by Special Resolution. An full explanation of the Motions is available as well as the formal text.

On Thursday, 12th January we will host an information session in preparation for the upcoming EGM, we would like to give clubs an opportunity to understand and ask questions on the proposed changes to the Swim Ireland Constitution, which will be voted on at an EGM on 19 January. On the night we will give a brief presentation as well as take any questions you may have.

As part of this session, we would also like to gather clubs’ feedback regarding current issues being faced and what type of training/supports the clubs and community team may put in place and deliver throughout 2023. The session begins at 6.30pm and the ZOOM link can be found by clicking here.

All members are welcome to attend and there is no need to register in advance.

Reminder for EGM– Club Secretaries are asked to submit the names and email addresses of their voting delegates on or before Thursday 12 January 2023. Registration forms can be accessed at this link. Please note that a secure link and detailed instructions to assist delegates will be emailed to all those registered by Wednesday 18 January and therefore you must include an email address for each delegate. Further details will issue in advance of the meeting on how non-Delegates may participate.

Each club is entitled to be represented by two voting delegates and Club Secretaries have until Thursday 12 January to register their delegates using this link. Email addresses for delegates must be provided as log on details for the meeting will be sent by email.
