Swim Ireland recently launched its innovative Pop-up pool project which aims to locate a pool in areas of Ireland where there is no access to a swimming pool. The Pop-up Pool is currently located at Donabate and Portrane Community Association in Donabate until the end of August. An additional pool arrives this month and from September to December, there will be a pool in Blessington, Co. Wicklow and Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo. The pools will be available for Schools, community groups, learn to swim and members of the public.

We are seeking to appoint freelance Swimming Teachers and Lifeguards, for part time or full-time hours, for the pools in Blessington and Tubbercurry.

Hours will be based on availability, but will cover the following:

  1. Monday to Friday 7.30am -10.00pm
  2. Saturday 7.30am - 5pm
  3. Sunday 10.00am – 5pm

Contract Type: Self-employed Contract

Vetting: Garda vetting will apply

Safeguarding: Successful candidates will be required to hold a valid Swim Ireland recognized Safeguarding certificate – successful candidates will be given the opportunity to complete a Safeguarding course if required (free of charge)

Rate of Payment: Successful candidates will be paid an hourly rate in the region of €20-25/hour dependent on experience.

Base location: Blessington or Tubbercurry.
