Swim Ireland are preparing to launch an innovative project which aims to locate a pool in areas of Ireland where there is no access to a swimming pool. The first location for this exciting project is Donabate and Portrane Community Association in Donabate and will be there from the the 5th of May to the 27thJune. The pool will be available for Schools, community groups, learn to swim and members of the public. This is the first location for the Pop-Up pool in Ireland, and we are seeking to appoint freelance Swimming Teachers (x 4) and Lifeguards (x 2) to help us to establish this new and innovative project.

Hours will be based on availability, but will cover the following:

  1. Monday to Friday 9.30-2.30
  2. Monday to Friday 3.30-6.30
  3. Saturday 8.30-1.30
  4. Sunday 8.30-1.30

There is flexibility to cover multiple time slots or part sessions.

Contract Type: Self-employed Contract

Vetting: Garda vetting will apply

Safeguarding: Successful candidates will be required to hold a valid Swim Ireland recognized Safeguarding certificate – successful candidates will be given the opportunity to complete a Safeguarding course if required (free of charge)

Rate of Payment: Successful candidates will be paid an hourly rate in the region of €20-25/hour dependent on experience

Base location: Donabate and Portrane Community Centre
