2020 Irish Minor Schools Championships

The 2020 Irish Minor Schools Championships will take place in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin on Sunday February 9th 2020.

Event Merchandise will be available to order in advance of the competition, from Sunday 13th October 2019 - Friday 31st January 2020 (subject to availability). Any remaining items will be available for sale at the competition. Merchandise will be available for collection of the day of competition, collection points will be notified in advance by email. Please refer to event merchandise purchase guide for more information.

Entries for Irish Minor Schools are now available HERE.  Any amendments to swimmer’s name, school or event must be submitted to entries@swimireland.ie by Friday 24th January @ 5pm. 

Any amendments sent after this time cannot be guaranteed and will not be represented in the event t-shirts and programmes.

2020 McCullagh International

2020 McCullagh International

The 2020 McCullagh International (run in conjunction with Swim Ulster) will take place in Bangor Aurora from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd February 2020.

This competition will be run on a similar timeline to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with heats taking place in the evening and the respective finals taking place the following morning.

Accreditation will be produced through the Go-Membership system. Club admins will need to apply for accreditation for athletes, team managers & coaches. Please ensure that team managers & coaches meet all the requirements for accreditation, otherwise they will not be awarded. Accreditation lanyards & pouches can be collected at the accreditation desk, which will be located beside the Swim Ireland information table. Further information on accreditation will be circulated to clubs in the next few weeks.

Technical meeting will take place on Thursday 20th February, at 11.30am at the competition venue. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory. Each club must be represented by one or more delegates. A club (not a delegate) attending the meeting may also represent a maximum of one additional club. Any such representation must be declared in writing at the meeting. 

Withdrawals from day 1 must be emailed to entries@swimireland.ie between 10/02/2020 & 15:00 on 19/02/2019. Withdrawals for days 2, 3 & 4 must be submitted by 18:00 the previous day, i.e. for day 2, withdrawals must be submitted by 18:00 on day 1.

2020 Irish Open Swimming Championships - Olympic and Paralympic Trials

The 2020 Irish Open Swimming Championships will take place in National Aquatic Centre, Dublin from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th April 2020.  

Accreditation will be produced through the Go-Membership system. Club admins will need to apply for accreditation for athletes, team managers & coaches. Please ensure that team managers & coaches meet all the requirements for accreditation, otherwise they will not be awarded. Accreditation lanyards & pouches can be collected at the accreditation desk, which will be located beside the Swim Ireland information table. Withdrawals for days 2, 3 & 4 must be submitted by 18:00 the previous day, i.e. for day 2, withdrawals must be submitted by 18:00 on day 1. These withdrawals must be completed on Withdrawal Forms at the Swim Office Table on poolside. No email scratches will be accepted after 15:00 on 31/03/2020

Overseas Meets that have been approved for qualification for Irish Meets

Clubs attending Offshore meets may nominate these for qualification for Irish National Meets. Approval must be sought from Swim Ireland in advance of traveling and Hy-tek results must be sent after the meet. If the meet do not use Hy-tek, you can find information on how to produce a Hy-tek results file here. Clubs must be in possession of a valid International Permit for the results to be accepted

Individual swimmers from clubs who are resident primarily overseas DO NOT need to seek approval from Swim Ireland for their meets however they should send their results to their home club who should forward these to Swim Ireland in Hy-tek format (as above).

Swimmers registered with overseas clubs (and not registered with Irish clubs) are not required to have meets approved but will be required to show proof of entry times when entering a meet.
